Our territory in the heart of the Monts-Valin
A Biodiverse Forest in Northern Territory
Domaine l’Or Piste is nestled in the heart of the majestic Monts-Valin massif.
What is the MONTS VALIN MASSIF?
A national park recognized internationally for its multitude of lakes and its mountainous massif that reaches almost 1,000 meters (+/- 3,280 feet) in altitude. This northern territory offers an early winter and an exceptional panorama with trees mummified in the snow. The MONTS VALIN MASSIF is a series of high-altitude mountains that generates much harsher climatic conditions than those in Saguenay or Lac-Saint-Jean. The site offers lower temperatures and more abundant and frequent snowfall. The winter season is long, stretching from November to April for a duration of 6 months.
Our territory is a habitat where boreal wildlife thrives in complete freedom. You will have the chance to encounter the impressive moose, the boreal lynx, and the discreet woodland caribou. Red foxes and snowshoe hares, as well as abundant partridges (grouse) and ruffed grouse.
Under the Magic of the Northern Lights
Thanks to our geographical location and the total absence of light pollution, the night sky at Domaine l’Or Piste offers a spectacle of rare purity. We are an excellent place for observing the Northern Lights. When the sky ignites with green and purple above the snow-capped peaks or the tops of the fir trees, time seems to stand still. It's a mystical and unforgettable experience that only vast northern spaces can offer.
The Perfect Balance between Fauna and Flora
The abundant and diverse vegetation creates a unique ecosystem. This natural balance makes our Resort an exceptional place, whether for animal observation, photography, or even hunting.
Come live the experience at Domaine l’Or Piste, where adventure begins at the end of Chemin de la Prudence.
